    The Flying Moustache

Movember 2011 Day 43 - I took to the skies with my moustache and headed to The Soaring Center in Jean, Nevada (just outside Las Vegas). This was an activity I didn’t even know could be on my bucket list! I was so excited to try it. I thouroughly enjoyed myself, I DO NOT regret this at all! But now that I have done it, I don’t need to do it again! My body just isn’t built for it LOL

BIG THANKS to the great team at The Soaring Center! I would recommend them to anyone! They were very safety concious, curtious, and followed up on all of their commitments!

    Loving the ladies too!

I know that Movember is all about Men’s health awareness and research to cure and prevent prostate cancer but I want to take this opportunity to share this video that reminds the ladies to keep their health front of chest urrr… mind too! Check it and yourself out!

    - Thanks Lynn for sharing the vid!

    My bad

The website has been lacking in some speedo action so when I saw this video I HAD TO SHARE IT!

There were speedo incidents in Antigua but none were captured on video or film so this is the best I can do. I was trying really hard for an impressive tan line but the Dengue fever interrupted my speedo tanning sessions :-(

If only everyone in life had this much confidence! LOL

    Unexpected Wave

Devil’s Bridge is a natural rock bridge on the Eastern coast of Antigua steeped in legend and tragedy. The legend goes that if you toss 2 eggs into the hole at Devil’s Bridge the Devil will keep one for himself and throw back the other hard boiled. The tragedy is many people have met their end here and 2 very recently. A lifeguard was called from a nearby resort to see if a body floating was still alive and he too was caught in the waves and drowned. So I advise against swimming, maybe just stick to the eggs.

In this video I had reached the midpoint of the bridge and just turned on the video camera as a huge surge blasted through Devil’s Bridge. It drenched me, soaked Viviana (she wasn’t even on it yet), and scared off two tourists. You can see Vivi all wet and you can hear me laughing or squeaking with a bit of fear and Vivi and the tourists say they aren’t going to cross.

Here are a few more pictures that were taking during our first visit to Devil’s Bridge:

We had high hopes that our new Crab friend would accompany us on our adventures as a mascot but sadly that last picture of him on the dash resulted in his melting and falling apart…ooops! PS No crabs were harmed in the making of this blog. His shell was already the result of natural causes.

    Dengue Fever

Here I was thinking that turning 32 made me lose my ability to party, enjoy a drink, and have a good time. Well this afternoon hope of future parties was restored.  I saw the doctor here and he confirmed I have Dengue fever.  He believes me to be coming out the other side if it now and I should begin to feel better soon.  Right now I have muscle and joint pain, no energy, intense eye pain, headaches and one killer rash on mostly my arms, hands, legs and feet.  I am clear to fly home on Saturday and the only chance of transmission to others is if the f*cking mosquitoes bite me and then bite someone else.

So right now I sleep most of the day, wear mosquito repellant and take Benedryl and Tylenol.  I am starting to miss my home and my bed now, as being sick away from home is never an enjoyable experience.  Thank God prior experiences and/or vaccinations have kept this fairly serious virus calmer for me than most cases.  Thinking back I had many of these same symptoms during time in Greece, Turkey and Romania in 2009 so that may have been where some immunity developed.
